WHAT IS AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD?
Itβs a global competition where the brightest secondary school students test their skills in subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, maths, and more.
New Zealand sends teams each year to a variety of these competitions and they consistently bring home medals.
These Olympiads celebrate scientific talent, international collaboration, and the next generation of innovators.
HOW CAN STUDENTS GET INVOLVED IN INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIADS?
The best first step is to talk to your science teacher. They can help you connect with the right organisations, past team leaders, or other teachers whoβve supported students before.
You can also search online, many Olympiads have their own websites with info on how to apply, prepare, and participate.
